U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday estimated that American military activities against Iran have damaged the military forces of that nation acutely by claiming that certain critical components of the Tehran navy, air force and air defense systems are knocked out.
In his remarks at the White House prior to an imminent bilateral executive session with the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Trump enumerated the effects of continuing U.S. attacks in broad strokes.
“They have no navy. It’s been knocked out. They have no air force. It’s been knocked out,” Trump said, according to coverage by Fox News. “They have no air detection that’s been knocked out. Their radar has been knocked out. Just about everything has been knocked out… They’re going to be in for a lot of hurt.”
The remarks come amid an escalating U.S. military campaign against Iran, which the administration has framed as a preemptive effort to dismantle Tehran’s offensive capabilities and prevent further threats to American forces and regional allies. Fox News reported that U.S. officials described the operation as focused on degrading missile launch systems, naval assets and air defense infrastructure.

Also, according to the reporting of the network, Trump said that the military strength of Iran was being destabilized and implied that Tehran was depleting its launchers which are the systems of missiles in the recent exchanges. The president has insisted that the attacks are imperative to contain what he termed as a direct and an increasing threat.
The war has elicited a bitter partisan politics in Washington. According to Fox News, the extent of the military action as well as its legal underpinnings have been questioned by some members of both dominant parties as well as by other Republican leaders who have loudly approved of the direction taken by the administration.
