Yola Catholic Bishop Mamza Takes National Stage as CBCN Ecumenism Chairman

The Catholic Diocese of Yola has announced the election of Most Rev. Stephen Dami Mamza as Chairman for Ecumenism at the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN).

With this new national responsibility, Bishop Mamza will act as the official liaison between Catholic Bishops and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

His role will also involve promoting stronger ecumenical ties and enhancing collaboration with the Anglican Communion, Methodist Church Nigeria, and other Christian denominations throughout the country.

The appointment highlights Bishop Mamza’s enduring dedication to Christian unity, inter-church dialogue, and peaceful coexistence among faith communities in Nigeria. Over the years, he has been widely regarded as a bridge-builder committed to fostering harmony within the Body of Christ.

The Diocese expressed heartfelt congratulations to Bishop Mamza, offering prayers for divine wisdom, strength, and guidance as he assumes this significant national assignment in service to both the Church and the nation.
