President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to participate in the two-day Africa Forward Summit focused on strengthening partnerships between African nations and France.
The Nigerian leader landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Monday and was welcomed by senior government officials, including Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and several cabinet ministers.
During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to join discussions alongside French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto on issues such as energy transition, digital transformation, climate action, green industrialisation and reforms in global financing.
The gathering, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” is aimed at boosting economic cooperation and investment opportunities across the continent.
Following the Nairobi summit, Tinubu will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, later this week to attend the Africa CEO Forum scheduled for May 14 to 15.
The forum, themed “Scale or Fail,” will bring together more than 2,000 business leaders, investors and policymakers to discuss regional integration, economic transformation and cross-border investments in Africa.
The President is also expected to hold meetings with African and international business executives during the trip as Nigeria seeks to attract more foreign investment and deepen economic partnerships.
