Controversial Nigerian singer, , has criticised the second-term ambition of President , warning that another four years under the current administration would be difficult for Nigerians.
The singer made the remarks on Wednesday in a video shared on his Instagram page, where he questioned Tinubu’s performance since assuming office in 2023.
According to Speed Darlington, Nigeria’s worsening economic hardship and insecurity showed that the administration had failed to address key national challenges.
He specifically criticised the removal of fuel subsidy shortly after Tinubu assumed office, arguing that the decision contributed heavily to rising fuel prices and increased hardship across the country.
“You are not qualified to be President again. From your first term, we already know that your second term is going to be hellfire,” the singer said in the viral video.
Darlington also accused the government of failing to tackle insecurity, inflation and economic instability, insisting that Nigerians were yet to feel the impact of policies introduced by the administration.
The comments have since sparked reactions on social media, with supporters and critics debating the performance of the current government ahead of the 2027 general elections.
President Tinubu, who assumed office in May 2023, has repeatedly defended his administration’s economic reforms, maintaining that some of the policies were necessary to stabilise Nigeria’s economy in the long term.
