The has confirmed the rescue of the remaining victims kidnapped from the Daarul-Kitab Islamic Orphanage in .
The rescue operation was carried out by troops under Operation Tiger Paw II during a coordinated mission conducted on May 6 in the Agbaja Forest area of .
In a statement issued on Thursday, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations for 12 Brigade , said troops intercepted and safely recovered the victims following credible intelligence and sustained operational pressure in the area.
According to the Army, the rescued victims include five boys, two girls and two adult women believed to be wives of the proprietor of the orphanage.
The victims were immediately evacuated to the 12 Brigade Medical Centre, where they received medical attention and first aid treatment.
The Army confirmed that all rescued persons are currently in stable condition.
Military authorities said the successful operation reflects the commitment of security forces to protecting lives and tackling criminal activities across the country.
The Army also urged members of the public to continue supporting security agencies with timely and credible information to aid ongoing operations against criminal groups.
