The 1990 set of the St. Catherine’s Old Girls Association (SCOGA), popularly known as The Trailblazers, has joined other alumni in celebrating the association’s 70th Founders’ Day Anniversary, describing the milestone as a testament to seven decades of excellence, faith, wisdom and enduring sisterhood.
In a congratulatory message released to commemorate the platinum jubilee, Mrs. Iyadunni Adedowole, Former Head of Mass Communication Department, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, applauded the vision and sacrifices of the association’s founders, as well as the commitment of generations of old girls who have sustained the ideals of the institution since its establishment in 1956.
Mrs. Iyadunni also noted that the anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on SCOGA’s remarkable journey and its contributions to the development of its members and society.
“Happy 70th Founders’ Day! Seven decades of vision, legacy and impact. We celebrate our founders and honour everyone keeping the dream alive. Here’s to the past we’re proud of, and the future we’re building together. Congratulations to us all,” the statement read.
The Trailblazers also wished members a successful anniversary celebration, expressing confidence that the association would continue to uphold its values of grace, excellence and sisterhood for generations to come.
SCOGA’s 70th Founders’ Day Anniversary is themed “Celebrating 70 Years of Grace, Excellence and Sisterhood,” with activities expected to bring together old girls from across Nigeria and the diaspora to celebrate the association’s enduring legacy.
