Israel has announced new attacks on Iran’s “leadership compound” in Tehran, which includes the presidential office, as the death toll from the ongoing conflict has risen to 787.
Officials from the Iranian Red Crescent reported that the number of fatalities since the joint strikes by the United States and Israel began has now reached 787.
A journalist in Tehran noted that “every part” of the capital has been targeted since Saturday. Additionally, BBC Verify analyzed satellite images that show damage to a nuclear facility in Natanz, a significant site in Iran’s nuclear program.
In Israel, Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that ground forces would “advance and seize additional strategic areas in Lebanon” to prevent attacks on Israeli territory.
The regional tensions escalated further when the U.S. embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was reportedly hit by two drones believed to have come from Iran.
