The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday held its state congress in Akure, where new members of the State Executive Committee emerged through a consensus arrangement.
The congress, which took place at The Dome International Event Centre, produced 36 officials who will steer the affairs of the party in the state for the next tenure.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Kolawole Babatunde, popularly known as Ameachi, was returned as the state chairman of the party.
Also elected was veteran journalist Alex Kalejaye from Ilaje, who emerged as the state secretary.
Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and other prominent leaders of the party were present at the congress.
Further details are expected to emerge as the process concludes.
