Commencing on May 12, 2026, the festival will hold in three prominent hospitals: General Hospital, Iwaro-Oka; Rufus Giwa General Hospital, Oke-Agbe; and State Specialist Hospital, Ikare. This initiative represents a collaborative effort between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Aiyedatiwa, further solidifying their partnership in delivering quality healthcare services to the citizens.

Dr. Akeredolu Oluwafemi, Acting Chairman of the Ondo State Hospital Management Board, announced the initiative on Sunday morning, stating, “The moment you’ve been waiting for has arrived! The highly anticipated Asiwaju Datiwa Festival of Surgery is officially here. This is your invitation to a life-changing event.” He emphasised that the festival is designed to offer free surgeries for various medical conditions, ensuring accessibility for all eligible citizens of Ondo State.
