U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to the Iranian government in response to their threats of a historic attack on the U.S. following coordinated actions by Israel and the U.S.
After the killing of a high-ranking Iranian military official, the U.S. cautioned Iranian leaders on Sunday, especially amid reports concerning the death of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which has heightened tensions in the Middle East.
In a bold statement, Trump addressed Iran’s claims of planning a major retaliatory strike.
“Iran has just announced that they intend to hit very hard today, harder than ever before. They better not do that, because if they do, we will respond with a level of force that has never been seen! Thank you for your attention to this matter!” the President declared.
These remarks come at a time of increased instability in the region, with global attention on Tehran following Khamenei’s reported death and the ongoing U.S.-Israel conflict.
While Iranian officials have suggested potential retaliation, there has been no immediate confirmation of any new military actions.
