Thousands of Iranian civilians and soldiers poured into the streets of Tehran on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, to mourn senior military commanders and other casualties killed in the ongoing United States‑Israeli airstrike campaign against Iran’s military infrastructure.
Crowds gathered in Enqelab Square and at Behesht‑e Zahra Cemetery, carrying coffins draped with flags and plaques of the deceased, including commanders from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Iranian armed forces. Mourners also chanted anti‑U.S. and anti‑Israeli slogans as they paid tribute to those killed since the strikes began in late February.
