The quiet community of Kirchinga in Madagali was plunged into unspeakable grief as residents wept openly in the aftermath of a brutal attack by Boko Haram insurgents that left families shattered and homes reduced to rubble.
Cries of mourning echoed through the dusty streets as survivors recounted the horrors of the assault lives cut short, dreams destroyed, and a once-peaceful community thrown into despair.

When Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri arrived in the grieving community, the atmosphere grew even more emotional.
The pain was visible on his face as he walked among the bereaved, offering embraces and quiet words of comfort. In a deeply moving moment, the Governor struggled to contain his tears, revealing that one of his own relatives was among those affected by the tragedy.
Standing shoulder to shoulder with heartbroken families, Governor Fintiri shared in their sorrow, assuring them they were not alone in their suffering.

Accompanied by top government officials and security operatives, he expressed profound sympathy and pledged his administration’s full support to help them rebuild their lives.
Condemning the attack in strong terms, the Governor described it as cowardly, barbaric, and utterly unacceptable.
He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening security across Adamawa State, vowing that intensified efforts would be made to protect lives and property from further insurgent violence.

He immediately directed relevant agencies to provide relief materials to affected families and ordered a comprehensive assessment of the damage to ensure swift recovery and reconstruction efforts.
For many residents, the Governor’s visit was more than symbolic. Community members said his presence rekindled hope amid despair and boosted morale in a town struggling to heal.

Madagali remains one of the frontline areas grappling with persistent security challenges linked to insurgent activities. Yet, even in the shadow of tragedy, the people of Kirchinga cling to hope united in grief, but determined that their tears will not be shed in vain.
