Controversial social media activist VeryDarkMan has alleged that his safety may be at risk following what he described as a threatening remark made by Instagram influencer Mitchy.
In a video posted on his Facebook page, the activist warned Nigerians to hold certain individuals accountable should anything happen to him before 2027, claiming recent developments surrounding him were not coincidental.
“Nigerians, if anything happens to me between now and 2027, just know that it was a setup,” he said.
VeryDarkMan alleged that Mitchy had earlier warned him that the day he confronts her would mark “the beginning of his downfall,” a statement he interpreted as a threat.
“You said the day I will come for you will be the beginning of my downfall — are you threatening me?” he asked in the video.
The activist also revisited his previous arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), alleging that the incident was orchestrated. He claimed that Seyi Tinubu facilitated his release, while insisting he has no political ties to him or the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I will never in my life work with Seyi or APC,” he stated.
Reacting, VeryDarkMan described himself as “the voice of the people,” stressing that his activism is driven solely by public interest and cannot be influenced by political actors.
“I am the voice of the masses. I cannot be compromised by any political party,” he said.
He also took a swipe at the influencer, asserting that King Mitchy could not match his contributions to ordinary Nigerians over the past few years.
According to him, his advocacy and social interventions have consistently focused on defending citizens and exposing societal injustices.
The exchange has since sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms, with supporters and critics debating the implications of the allegations and the growing tension between both personalities.
As of the time of Starnews NG filing this report, King Mitchy had not issued an official response to VeryDarkMan’s latest claims.
