Primaries: Adewinle Engages APC Leaders in Ikale, Urges Support for Consensus Aspirant Daramola

A renowned polymath in Ikale and the Federal Commissioner representing Ondo State at the South West Development Commission (SWDC), Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle (FCA), has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okitipupa and Irele Federal Constituency to remain united, disciplined, and committed to the collective interests of the party ahead of the upcoming APC primary election.

During a public engagement with party faithful in Ode-Aye, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, Dr. Adewinle emphasised the importance of respecting and upholding the party’s decision to adopt Olumuyiwa Daramola as the consensus aspirant for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency seat.

He stated, “The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has made the party’s position clear. I urge all members to align with this decision in the overall interest of the APC.”

Dr. Adewinle stressed that party unity and loyalty must take precedence over personal ambitions, noting that the strength of the APC lies in its ability to remain cohesive during critical political processes. “Adherence to internal agreements and collective decisions will not only deepen trust within the party but also strengthen the APC’s structure and enhance our electoral chances in the constituency,” he added.

Furthermore, Dr. Adewinle appealed to party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters to conduct themselves peacefully and to avoid actions that could cause division before, during, and after the primary exercise.

In a video of his address that has since gone viral, Starnews NG reports that Dr. Adewinle declared in Ikale dialect, “Ode-Aye has spoken; it is time to unite in one accord and communicate with one another to ensure we do not lose the opportunity to produce a House of Representatives member. We must seize this opportunity. I am with you, and I stand with Ode-Aye and the position of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa is the leader of our party in Ondo State, and no one else leads the party here but him.”

Dr. Adewinle further referenced biblical teachings, stating, “There are two roads to heaven: the narrow gate and the wide gate. The wide and broad gate leads to destruction.” He warned everyone to align with Aiyedatiwa’s leadership in Ondo State and the overall interest of the APC, asserting that following the narrow way leads to life.
