Premier League champions Manchester City could face a points deduction of between 40 and 60 points — a sanction that may result in immediate relegation — if the club is found guilty of alleged Financial Fair Play (FFP) violations, according to reports by Goal.
The English club is currently under investigation over 115 alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial regulations spanning several seasons.
Reports gathered by Starnews NG indicate that potential punishments under consideration could include a significant points deduction, heavy financial penalties, or other sporting sanctions depending on the outcome of the ongoing proceedings.
A deduction of that magnitude would almost certainly push City to the bottom of the league table, effectively confirming relegation regardless of on-field performance.
Manchester City have consistently denied wrongdoing and maintain that they possess “irrefutable evidence” supporting their position. The club has also stated its willingness to fully cooperate with the legal process.
