He claimed that this is being done through collective cooperation where the police, the military, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and other security agencies are involved.
On his side, he says that the working together of the team with the help of the Bauchi State Government is already delivering positive outcomes.
In the recent days, security concerns in Gwana, Digare and Kafin Duguri have come back. In line with a thorough security audit, the Command, in collaboration with sister agencies has embarked on an intensive deployment of joint security forces to put down the operations of criminal actors in the affected neighborhoods, Habib said.
He observed that security problems have been persistent in the border communities since criminals in the neighbour States entered.
The Command however, assured those in the town of Mansur, some of whom had taken flight in the fear of an attack, that things were all in order.
Gwana District, adjoining, he had been told, had had its share, but Mansur town had not been affected, and there was no occasion to be alarmed.
Habib also stated that there are large numbers of security officers and sharper weaponry which are strategically placed to prevent any eruption of law and order and that the officers are working twenty four seven to establish and maintain order.
The Command guaranteed that the bandits will not find a safe haven in Alkaleri LGA as the operations will continue until the region turns stable permanently.
In the meantime, Police Commissioner, Sani Omolori Aliyu has stressed the need of the community collaborating with security to deal with insecurity. He encouraged people to report suspicious individuals and actions in their vicinity urging them to provide credible tips to security agencies as fast as possible.
Habib assured that information received by people would be handled with high degree of confidentiality and that the citizens need not fear doing legal activities.
