Lewis Hamilton Urges African Leaders to Unite and Reclaim the Continent’s Resources

Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has spoken passionately about Africa’s future, calling on the continent’s leaders to work together and ensure its vast resources benefit its own people.
The British racing star, who competes in the global Formula One championship, described Africa as “the most beautiful part of the world,” while expressing concern that many of its natural riches have historically been controlled or exploited by foreign powers.

Hamilton said he hopes African leaders will come together and take stronger ownership of the continent’s wealth and development.

“I’m looking forward and hoping that the people running those countries can come together and take Africa back,” he said.

The motorsport icon specifically mentioned former colonial powers such as France, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom, saying Africa’s future should be shaped primarily by Africans themselves.

According to Hamilton, the continent possesses enormous potential thanks to its vast natural resources, young population, and growing economies.
“They have the resources to be the greatest and most powerful part of the world,” he said.

Hamilton emphasized that greater unity and cooperation among African nations could help the continent strengthen its global influence and ensure that its wealth is used to improve the lives of its people.
