Lebanon has reportedly revoked its approval for Iran’s designated ambassador, Mohammad Reza Sheibani, and ordered him to leave the country before March 29.
According to local reports, Lebanese authorities declared the Iranian envoy persona non grata and officially informed Tehran’s diplomatic mission of the decision.
The move also includes recalling Lebanon’s ambassador from Iran for consultations, citing what officials described as a breach of diplomatic norms by Tehran.
If confirmed, the decision signals a sharp escalation in diplomatic tensions between both countries at a time when the wider Middle East crisis continues to deepen.
However, as of now, the development is yet to be independently confirmed by major international media, making it a developing story.
