Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has raised concerns over possible internal compromise within the state’s security network, alleging that sensitive security information may be reaching criminal elements shortly after official meetings.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, the governor gave a chilling account of what he described as an operational breach involving a notorious criminal identified as Muhammad.
He said:
“This notorious person that is disturbing Musa Amata is we know him is Muhammad that’s his name and everybody his father his mother his grandfather was born there was a day I called for a meeting here a high level security meeting in the state government house on how to operate and deal with the situation yeah 5 minutes after the meeting he knows what we have discussed there are moles among us moles among the security moles among the communities.”
The governor’s remarks suggest possible infiltration of security operations and community structures by informants allegedly working with criminal groups.
He warned that such leaks make it extremely difficult to effectively combat banditry, as operational secrecy is quickly compromised.
Security analysts say the statement highlights a deeper intelligence challenge, where trust deficits within systems may be undermining counter-banditry efforts in the state.
