Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda has sworn in two newly confirmed commissioners, Hon. Sani Ali‑Ahmed and Hon. Mannir Sullubawa, into the Katsina State Executive Council at the Government House in Katsina. The ceremony held on 5 March 2026 followed their screening and confirmation by the Katsina State House of Assembly, reflecting the administration’s efforts to bolster governance and inclusivity.
Governor Radda charged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them by serving the people with loyalty, competence and a sense of responsibility, and to align their work with his administration’s “Building Your Future” development agenda. Ali‑Ahmed, from Daura Senatorial District, is a seasoned political organizer and former state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), credited with contributing to the party’s strong foothold in Katsina. Sullubawa, hailing from Katsina Senatorial District, brings decades of public service experience, including leadership roles in the civil service.
The governor noted that one of the appointments addressed a longstanding representation imbalance by ensuring that Katsina metropolis had a voice in the cabinet for the first time since 1999. Attended by senior officials, political stakeholders and families of the appointees, the event underscored the administration’s focus on inclusive leadership and accountable governance.
Observers say these appointments aim to strengthen policy implementation across crucial sectors such as security, education, healthcare, agriculture and economic development, and to ensure that executive leadership remains responsive to citizens’ needs.
