Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress across the state to actively participate in the party’s Presidential Primary Election scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026.
In a statewide message to party faithful on Friday, Aiyedatiwa urged all registered members to turn out in their respective wards across the 203 wards in Ondo State, describing the exercise as a key moment for strengthening internal democracy and shaping the future direction of the party and the country.
He emphasized that the strength of the APC lies in the active involvement, unity, and collective commitment of its members, noting that the primary election offers another opportunity for party members to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s democratic process.
According to him, widespread participation is essential for a credible and successful exercise, adding that members must approach the process with a strong sense of responsibility and purpose.
The governor also appealed for calm and disciplined conduct during the exercise, urging party members to strictly adhere to established guidelines and ensure the process remains peaceful and orderly across all wards.
He further called for unity among party stakeholders, stressing that the APC in Ondo State must continue to demonstrate political maturity and cohesion as it undertakes the crucial internal election.
Aiyedatiwa, who also serves as the Returning Officer for the APC Presidential Primary Election in the state, wished all participants a peaceful and successful exercise, expressing confidence in the party’s ability to conduct a transparent and credible process.
