Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the commencement of another phase of the Fintiri Business Wallet Programme aimed at supporting micro and small-scale business owners across the state.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development.
According to the agency, no fewer than 72,000 beneficiaries are expected to benefit from the new phase of the empowerment programme designed to boost small businesses, reduce poverty and stimulate economic activities across Adamawa State.
In a statement signed by the Director General of PAWECA, Michael Zira Wadaragwo, the agency disclosed that distribution of application forms would commence before the end of the week in all the 21 local government areas of the state.
The agency said the initiative forms part of Governor Fintiri’s broader economic empowerment and poverty reduction agenda targeted at improving livelihoods and supporting entrepreneurs at the grassroots level.
The Fintiri Business Wallet Programme has over the years become one of the flagship empowerment schemes of the administration, providing financial support to thousands of petty traders, artisans and small business operators across the state.
Residents have been advised to follow official announcements from PAWECA regarding the distribution process and eligibility requirements for the programme.
