The Federal University Lokoja (FUL), Kogi State, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Quest Monotechnic, located along Abacha Road in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, to commence selected postgraduate programmes.
The agreement was formally signed by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, and the Registrar, Dr. Rebecca Aimiohu Okojie on Monday.
According to the university management, the partnership is aimed at enhancing the quality of education, addressing gaps in the admission of eligible candidates for postgraduate studies, and expanding access to tertiary education for qualified applicants.
As part of preparations for the commencement of the programmes, a new study centre has been established and equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art learning resources to support effective teaching and learning.
Speaking on the development, the Director of Programmes at Quest Monotechnic, Dr. Ogunleye Oluwasegun Michael, described the partnership as a landmark achievement in the annals of tertiary education in Nigeria.

He assured stakeholders that the study centre would uphold the high academic standards and reputation of Federal University Lokoja in the administration and delivery of the postgraduate programmes.
The collaboration is expected to provide more opportunities for prospective postgraduate students while strengthening institutional partnerships within Nigeria’s higher education sector.
