A former Senior Special Assistant on Event Management, Adekunle Olumide Olubunmi, has commended the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for approving welfare packages for officers of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun.
The governor recently approved pension schemes, health insurance, life insurance packages, hazard allowances, structured promotion systems, and improved operational support for personnel of the security outfit.
In a statement made available on Monday, Olubunmi described the governor’s decision as a bold and commendable step capable of boosting the morale of Amotekun officers and strengthening the security framework of the state.
He said the welfare package reflected visionary leadership and demonstrated the administration’s concern for personnel who risk their lives daily to protect communities across the state.
According to him, prioritising the welfare of Amotekun officers would not only improve their working conditions but also reinforce public confidence in the government’s commitment to security and public safety.
Olubunmi stated that the approval represented one of the most significant welfare reforms introduced for the security outfit since its establishment in Ondo State.
He further noted that the administration had shown appreciation for sacrifice and courage through policies designed to motivate local security operatives.
The former aide added that the governor’s people-oriented leadership continued to inspire confidence among residents and stakeholders across the state.
He prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and greater accomplishments for the governor in his continued service to Ondo State and humanity.
