Dangote Petroleum Refinery has raised the price of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, from N1,265 to N1,350 per litre.
The new gantry price took effect on Saturday, September 12, 2026, according to a circular issued to the refinery’s customers by its Group Commercial Operations late on Friday.
The latest adjustment represents an N85 increase and marks the fourth upward review of the refinery’s petrol price in less than a month.
Dangote Refinery had initially increased its gantry price from N1,165 to N1,185 per litre on August 21. It subsequently moved the price to N1,200 on August 26 and then N1,265 on August 29.
With the latest adjustment, the total increase since August 21 stands at N185 per litre, representing about 15.9 per cent.
In the circular, the refinery also announced an increase in its coastal delivery price from N1,669,545 to N1,783,530 per metric tonne.
The company stated, “Dear Valued Customer, please find below the revised DPRP PMS gantry and coastal prices, which are effective from 12th September 2026:
“Coastal (MT): The old price of ₦1,669,545 has been revised to ₦1,783,530. Gantry (LTR): The old price of ₦1,265 per litre has been revised to ₦1,350 per litre.
“You are advised to return all ATCs for repricing, and a new volume contract will be issued for immediate resumption of loading.”
The development comes amid renewed pressure on global oil markets, with international crude prices remaining elevated.
Brent crude recently traded above $104 per barrel after earlier rising beyond $107, as tensions involving the United States and Iran continued to raise concerns about global oil supplies.
The disruption around the Strait of Hormuz has added to supply concerns, with reduced oil flows through the strategic waterway and heightened risks to tanker movements.
Attacks on tankers and shipping restrictions have further intensified concerns over crude and refined-product supplies, putting upward pressure on prices.
Petroleumprice.ng also confirmed the new N1,350 per-litre gantry price and the revised coastal delivery rate.
Dangote Refinery customers were directed to return existing Authority to Collect documents for repricing, after which new volume contracts would be issued to facilitate the resumption of loading.
