The City Boy Movement, Plateau State Chapter, has congratulated Governor Caleb Mutfwang following his emergence as Silverbird Governor of the Year 2025, an honour conferred by the Silverbird Group. The congratulatory message, dated March 2, 2026, was issued in Jos, Plateau State, through the movement’s Communications and Media Directorate.

According to the group, the award recognises Mutfwang’s leadership in stabilising Plateau after years of communal tension and economic strain. They cited his peace-building engagements across troubled communities, renewed infrastructure drive, urban development initiatives, and reforms aimed at strengthening public institutions and workers’ welfare as key reasons for the recognition.

The Silverbird Governor of the Year award is traditionally presented to public office holders deemed to have demonstrated impactful governance within the review period. Observers note that Plateau has witnessed increased dialogue efforts and administrative restructuring under Mutfwang’s leadership since assuming office.

The City Boy Movement described the honour as validation of “purposeful leadership,” urging the governor to sustain reforms and consolidate gains. The group maintained that continued economic revitalisation, youth inclusion and responsible governance remain critical to repositioning Plateau as the “Home of Peace and Tourism.”
