Governor Ademola Adeleke has emerged victorious in the Osun State governorship election, securing another term in office.
Adeleke, who contested the election on the platform of the Accord Party, defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in what was described as a keenly contested poll.
The governor had previously contested and won the 2022 governorship election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but later left the party amid its internal crisis and joined the Accord Party to seek re-election.
Adeleke’s latest victory extends his tenure as governor of Osun State, subject to the official declaration and certification of the results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
