Members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly have arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, for a legislative study tour aimed at strengthening their legislative capacity and enhancing parliamentary performance through exposure to international best practices.
The study visit is designed to equip the lawmakers with practical knowledge in key areas of legislative governance, including lawmaking, committee operations, budget scrutiny, oversight of government activities, parliamentary administration, legislative research, and the application of modern technology to improve the efficiency of legislative processes.
The visit will also provide an opportunity for the Bauchi lawmakers to exchange ideas and experiences with their counterparts in Kenya, fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices that can be adapted to improve legislative service delivery in Bauchi State.
The initiative is expected to enhance the capacity of the lawmakers to deliver effective representation, strengthen accountability, and contribute to policies and legislation that promote the socio-economic development and well-being of the people of Bauchi State.
