Adamawa Mourns As Master Warrant Officer Matini Identified In Ondo Air Force Crash Victims

Adamawa State has been thrown into mourning following the identification of Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Matini, a native of Guyuk Local Government Area, among the Nigerian Air Force personnel who died in the aircraft crash in Ondo State.

The death of the officer has particularly devastated the Lunguda community, with sons and daughters of the community expressing grief and extending condolences to his family, colleagues and the Nigerian Air Force.

MWO Matini was said to have died while serving the nation, with tributes describing him as a brave and dedicated officer who proudly represented Nigeria with courage, commitment and heroism.

His death has been described as a painful loss not only to his immediate family but also to the Lunguda community, Adamawa State and the Nigerian Air Force.

“Yesterday became a dark day for the Nigerian Air Force family as we lost over 20 brave officers and men in the line of duty,” a condolence message said.

The message described MWO Matini’s service and sacrifice to the nation as a legacy that would not be forgotten, while praying for the peaceful repose of his soul and those of other personnel who lost their lives in the crash.

The community also prayed for God to grant the bereaved families the strength to cope with the tragedy.

“May God grant their families, the Lunguda community, and the Nigerian Air Force the strength to bear this painful loss,” the message stated.

The development has continued to generate reactions among members of the Lunguda community, who have paid tribute to the fallen officer and acknowledged his contributions to national service.

Describing his death as a great loss, mourners said his memory and legacy would continue to live on.

“Your legacy lives on,” the message added.

The community urged Nigerians to remember MWO Matini and other fallen military personnel who paid the ultimate price in the course of serving the country.

They also prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and comfort for their families, colleagues and loved ones.
