The Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima Movement (BAT-KSM Movement) in Ondo State has urged Nigerians to reject Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 general elections.
The group called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), arguing that his administration should be allowed to consolidate and complete its ongoing reforms.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the group’s coordinator, Erelu (Princess) Bukky Abike Oluderu, said continuity was essential to securing lasting benefits from the reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited a country facing serious economic and security challenges. His administration has demonstrated the courage to take difficult decisions and begin the process of rebuilding the nation,” Oluderu said.
She urged Nigerians not to return to what she described as leaders and political parties that had previously had opportunities to address the country’s challenges.
“Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP have both had the opportunity to present their ideas to Nigerians. However, the country needs a leader with the experience, courage and political structure required to implement far-reaching reforms,” she said.
The BAT-KSM Movement said abandoning the current reform process midway could undermine progress in areas such as infrastructure, economic recovery, job creation and national security.
“Leadership is not about making promises during election campaigns. It is about taking difficult decisions and accepting responsibility for the future of the country. President Tinubu deserves the support of Nigerians to complete the work he has started,” Oluderu added.
The group also appealed to APC members and supporters to remain united and take the achievements of the Tinubu administration to Nigerians at the grassroots.
It urged citizens to participate actively in the 2027 elections and support the APC, saying policy continuity and political stability were necessary for sustainable national development.
