The Ondo Linyin Industrial Hub (WEEWOOD) has formally expressed its support for the recent appointment of Hon. Obayangban Bidemi Joshua, widely known as “OC General,” as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Forestry.
In a statement released by the management, the organisation described the appointment as a “thoughtful and strategic choice” by His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Starnews NG reports that WEEWOOD commended the Governor’s decision, noting that it serves as a clear “testament to the confidence reposed in him by the administration.”
The industrial hub highlighted the vital importance of the forestry sector to the state’s economic and environmental future, asserting that the sector demands a leader with “requisite understanding, energy, integrity and commitment.”
By selecting Hon. Obayangban, they believe the Governor has demonstrated a “determination to place capable hands in positions of responsibility.”
Reflecting on the appointee’s credentials, WEEWOOD expressed full confidence in his leadership, stating, “we have no doubt that OC General will bring his wealth of experience, dedication and leadership qualities to bear on his new assignment.”
The organisation concluded its message by wishing Hon. Obayangban a successful tenure, expressing optimism that his new role will provide a significant platform to “support the Governor’s developmental agenda and contribute to the sustainable management and utilisation of the State’s forest resources.”
