By George Omagbemi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will begin a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers on Friday, November 6, to commission projects and participate in political rallies organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will first visit Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, where he is scheduled to inaugurate several projects completed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration.

The projects include the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at Victor Attah International Airport.

Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, which connects communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, and Ring Road 3, linking Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.

The President is also expected to commission the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre and ARISE Palm Resort.

Tinubu will attend an APC political rally in Uyo during the visit. Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to participate in activities marking the presidential visit.

On Saturday, November 7, the President will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for another APC rally.

The Rivers event will be his third rally since he formally flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna in October.

The two-state visit comes as the ruling party intensifies political mobilisation and engagement with stakeholders ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
