President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the gains of his administration’s ongoing reforms will reach citizens across the country, insisting that the policies are designed to build a stronger economy and deliver long-term national prosperity.
The President gave the assurance on Thursday at the inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Abuja. He was represented at the event by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Tinubu said his administration deliberately embraced difficult but necessary economic decisions to place the country on a sustainable path, stressing that meaningful reforms often require patience and sacrifice before their benefits become evident.
According to him, the government’s commitment remains focused on ensuring that ordinary Nigerians eventually experience the positive outcomes of the reforms.
“Good governance succeeds when the executive, the legislature, and the Nigerian people move forward together. So we are working together to ensure that every Nigerian feels the impact of our reforms,” he said.
The President maintained that reforms should not be viewed as isolated government actions but as a continuous process aimed at creating opportunities for future generations.
He noted that lasting national progress can only be achieved through courageous leadership and collective commitment, rather than avoiding difficult policy choices.
Tinubu also urged members of the newly inaugurated political movement to engage Nigerians with civility and respect, encouraging them to listen to citizens’ concerns while promoting confidence in democratic governance.
He said politics should strengthen national unity instead of deepening divisions, adding that Nigeria’s interest must always take precedence over partisan considerations.
The President further charged supporters to build trust through constructive engagement, saying every interaction with citizens should reinforce hope in the country’s democratic future and ongoing national renewal.
