Residents of a community in Pretoria, the administrative capital city of South Africa were left shocked after a suspected house robber was allegedly found dead hanging on a security fence following what is believed to have been a failed escape attempt.
According to reports, residents heard a man screaming during the night but were too frightened to step outside due to security concerns in the area.
The situation reportedly became clear the following morning when community members discovered the man’s lifeless body hanging from sharp spikes mounted on a perimeter fence.
Initial accounts suggest the deceased may have been attempting to jump over the fence while fleeing when he became trapped on the metal spikes.
Authorities are expected to launch an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and confirm the identity of the deceased.
The discovery has since sparked reactions among residents, with many expressing shock over the tragic incident.
