Vice-President Kashim Shettima has attracted attention on social media following a video showing him displaying his signature ‘Omo Ologo’ dance at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna.
The event, held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, marked the ruling party’s formal mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Shettima attended the rally alongside Tinubu, APC governors, party leaders and supporters who gathered to demonstrate their support for the party’s campaign.
The dance clip has added an entertainment element to the political gathering, with the Vice-President’s energetic moves becoming a talking point among viewers.
Beyond the lighter moments, the Kaduna rally provided the APC with a platform to appeal to voters and promote its record in government. Shettima urged Nigerians, particularly voters in the North, to support Tinubu for a second term, citing the President’s past political support for northern leaders.
The campaign also featured speeches by party officials and other political stakeholders seeking to mobilise support ahead of the next general election.
The video of Shettima’s dance is circulating online, drawing attention to the more informal moments that often accompany major political rallies.
