Rufai Oseni Dismisses Suspension Rumours

By George Omagbemi Sylvester

Popular broadcaster Rufai Oseni has publicly rejected reports claiming he was suspended from Arise TV, describing the circulating narrative as false and misleading.

The controversy erupted after social media posts alleged that the outspoken anchor was taken off air following an internal disagreement. However, Rufai swiftly responded, clarifying that there was no disciplinary action against him and that the claims lacked any factual basis.

Credible reports indicate he dismissed the suspension story outright, stressing that such rumours are often manufactured to attract attention and distort public perception.

This is not the first time the journalist has faced such speculation. Similar claims in the past were also debunked, with explanations pointing to routine leave or scheduled absence rather than any punitive measure.

Rufai’s reaction reflects a broader concern about credibility, where digital noise increasingly competes with verified journalism, potentially eroding public trust in established media institutions.
