The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has clarified that First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu will not be removed as an ordained pastor of the church, amid public discussions linking church leadership to political influence.
May 2, 2026 — In a video statement circulated online, Adeboye emphasized that Oluremi Tinubu’s pastoral ordination remains intact, stressing that RCCG does not withdraw ordination based on political office or public status. He noted that spiritual calling within the church is not subject to political considerations, adding that ordained ministers retain their status unless they personally step away from ministry responsibilities.
