By Paul Joseph

The Ondo State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has fixed Monday, May 4, 2026, for its State Congress as part of ongoing internal party activities.

According to a statement issued on May 2 by the State Publicity Secretary, Owolola Adebola, the congress will be held at Royal Birds Hotel and Towers in Alagbaka, Akure, beginning at 12:00 noon.

The party disclosed that about 150 delegates drawn from the 18 local government areas of the state are expected to participate in the exercise.

The NDC said the congress is being conducted in line with directives from its national headquarters, as part of efforts to strengthen party structures at the state level ahead of future political engagements.

The party also commended its members and stakeholders for their support and cooperation, noting that their contributions ensured the smooth and peaceful conduct of the ward and local government congresses preceding the state event.

The upcoming congress is expected to further consolidate the party’s presence in Ondo State as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
