The Nigeria Police Force on Wed made major changes within its ranks as 141 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were transferred to different commands and departments across the country.
The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, approved the internal redeployment as part of efforts to reorganize the force and improve its operations nationwide.
The order, issued through an internal communication seen by SaharaReporters, instructed that the redeployment be carried out without delay.
The move affected various regions and sectors, touching key units in both urban and rural areas.
Some of the affected officers include Ibrahim Mohammed Agava, who has been posted to SCID ADS, and Akinloye Joseph Oyegade, now with the X-Squad in Osogbo. Rilwanu Mohammed Dutse has taken charge of Legal/Prosecution in Abuja, while Ibrahim Aliyu Jauro was moved to Railway in Ibadan.
Anthony Olusola Ojo is now in ZCID Kano, and Ibrahim Muktar has been posted to Ugep in Cross River State.
Others are Aminu Hamza, assigned to ONSA North-East, and Mohammed Ghazzali Madugu, who now heads Ayingba in Kogi. Banawi Ishaku is in Nkalagu, Ebonyi, and Clement-Isochikwu Ezejiofor was posted to ONSA South-East.
Benjamin Chidozie Egu is now in Karu, FCT, while Suleiman Oba Kadiri and Juliet Bizienga Egbukonye were sent to Enugu and Cross River respectively.
Also redeployed are Bello Kamba Bello to SCID ZFS, Ruth Oluwatomisin Otolori to Iruwa in Oyo, and Celestine Tochukwu Umeh to SID in Anambra. Osigimo K. Ikoli will now serve as DOPS Ebonyi, Halilu Umaru at ZCID Yola, and Agboola Adeniyi at Area ‘P’ Lagos.
Others include Victor Elijele Izibili at SID Rivers, Jude Nwabugwu Ohaja at SCID Anambra, and Anslem Al in DOPS Kogi. Joy Ugo Elemoke now serves in Bayelsa, Nsikak Nse Effiong in ADS, and Nasirudeen Oyetunji Oyedele at SID Edo.
Smith Olanrewaju Kosebinu is at Elele in Rivers, while Aderemi Yusuf was made Commandant at PTS Iperu.
Sama’ila Zubairu Sani will now serve in Jere, Kaduna, while Mansur Mohammed Tafida was posted to Ido-Osi in Ekiti. Others like Ogiata Igbineweka Iredia, Enatufe Emmanuel Omoh, and Abdulmajid Isa were moved to Kwara, Abia, and AFS II respectively. Danjuma Ragga Akumaji now serves in Geidam, Yobe, and Fidelia Lohya Labong was posted to Zone 7 in Abuja.
More names include Angus Nwigwe in Zone 17 Akure, Abdulrahman Idris in Zaria, and Orok Etim in ADS. Officers like Kambara Isa Ibrahim, Rachel Edegua, Umaru Gwani Garba, Peter Obiyo Ihechere, and Felicia C. Anselem Ali were all transferred to different units including Railway, Ekiadolor, Ekwete, Ningi, and DTD Abuja.
Others who received new assignments include Abdulkadir Wada, Abdullahi Iga Bala, Olawale Asimiyu Tiamiyu, Hassan Lawal Rabiu, Olasunkanmi Alade Musiliu, Inusa Musa Karyah, Reuben Laro Lazarus, Idrisu Mohammed, and Amuda Alabi.
