The Adamawa State Police Command has on Monday arrested a man, Abubakar Musa, in connection with the alleged killing of 30-year-old Nathaniel Yusuf in Jambutu Ward, Yola North Local Government Area of the state.

According to the police, the suspect was apprehended after the victim’s sister, Grace Yusuf, reported the incident at the Kofare Divisional Police Headquarters, alleging that her brother had been violently attacked.

Police officers who responded to the distress report rescued the victim and rushed him to the Specialist Hospital in Jimeta for urgent medical attention, while the suspect was arrested at the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Nathaniel Yusuf sustained multiple fractures to both legs, his right hand and head after he was allegedly assaulted with a stick. He later died while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Police said the deceased’s body has been deposited in the hospital morgue for an autopsy, while investigations into the incident are ongoing.
