Pastor’s 50th Birthday Tattoo Sparks Biblical Debate: Grace vs. Law

Lead Pastor, David Christian Centre, Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, is trending online as his 50th birthday tattoo sparked controversial remarks from fans and followers.

Taking to his official Instagram page a few hours ago, pastor Kingsley confirmed to all and sundry as he shared the tattoo of a bible passage he got on his arm as he clocks a new age.

Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo’s arm was tattooed with the inscription that read III: XVI, which means John 3 : 16, which goes thus,  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

However, the video of Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo after getting the tattoo on his arm for his 50th birthday has been trailed with mixed reactions.
While some gushed over it, others aggressively criticized pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, stressing that he did not follow what the bible said.

Critics cite Leviticus 19:28 against body marks, with influencer Daniel Regha saying pastors should set a better example, while defenders argues it honours faith under New Testament freedom and call out selective Bible use.

The move highlights ongoing divide rules in Christianity between Old Testament rules and modern grace.
