Henry Okoye, the elder brother of former P-Square members Peter and Paul Okoye, has expressed doubts that the estranged twins will be able to resolve their longstanding differences and restore their former relationship.
Henry said the prolonged dispute had caused significant damage to the bond between the brothers, making reconciliation increasingly difficult.
He spoke during an interview with social commentator Jos Connection at the family’s residence in Plateau State on Friday, where he addressed the renewed disagreement between the twin brothers.
According to Henry, although Peter had made efforts to resolve the crisis, he was uncertain whether the brothers could rebuild the close relationship they once shared.
He, however, appealed to Paul to forgive Peter and end the rift, recalling the support he received from his twin brother during a period of ill health.
“Peter is trying. I will be happy for them to come back together, but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person,” Henry said.
He also expressed concern about the role of their elder brother and former P-Square manager, Jude Okoye, in the family’s prolonged disagreements.
Henry recalled that Peter and Paul had previously promised him a share of their earnings when they began making money, but said Jude later intervened.
“They promised me 20 per cent when they started making money. Jude intervened and dismissed that. I challenged him that he wasn’t there when we started everything but now chasing everybody away from them,” he said.
Henry said he had made several attempts to bring the family together, but had yet to achieve the desired result.
He disclosed that he had also sought the intervention of prominent individuals, including businessman Shehu Dantata, in an effort to resolve the family dispute.
“I want all the family to come back. I have tried my best. Even Shehu Dantata spoke to them and they didn’t listen,” he said.
He further urged Jude to play a role in restoring peace among the siblings and appealed to Paul to remember the support Peter had given him during difficult periods.
Henry said he would be delighted if Peter and Paul reunited but acknowledged that the depth of their disagreement had made such an outcome uncertain.
The latest development comes amid the longstanding dispute between Peter, Paul and Jude, which contributed to the collapse of P-Square in 2017.
The twins eventually reunited in 2021, raising hopes among their fans that their differences had been resolved.
However, the reconciliation did not last, as another disagreement emerged in 2024.
The latest dispute has involved allegations concerning the management of P-Square’s finances and the role of Jude in the group’s affairs.
Peter had accused Paul of siding with Jude and alleged that royalties belonging to P-Square were being channelled through Northside Music Limited, a company he linked to Jude and his wife.
Paul, however, defended Jude and accused Peter of being responsible for the legal troubles involving their elder brother.
Jude was subsequently arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations involving N1.38bn, $1m and £34,537.59. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Peter later testified in the case, alleging that Jude secretly incorporated Northside Music Limited and used it to collect royalties belonging to P-Square.
The financial dispute has continued in court, with Peter admitting during cross-examination in February 2026 that he was a co-signatory to the Northside Entertainment Limited account, contrary to an earlier position that Jude was the sole signatory.
While the dispute has continued to play out publicly and in court, Henry’s latest intervention represents another attempt by a member of the Okoye family to encourage the brothers to resolve their differences.
Henry said he had forgiven his siblings and remained hopeful that the family could eventually put the prolonged disagreements behind them.
