The family of the late Nollywood actress, Allwell Ademola, has announced arrangements for her burial.
In a press statement shared online by her cousin, Muyiwa Ademola, the family disclosed that a Service of Songs will hold on Thursday, January 8, followed by a candlelight procession.
According to the statement, the actress will be laid to rest on Friday, January 9, at the Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos.
The family also outlined a dress code for the ceremonies, stating that a customised T-shirt will be provided at the venue on Thursday, while attendees are expected to wear white shirts and jeans on the day of the burial.
The statement read: “The burial arrangement for Princess Allwell Ademola.
Note: On Thursday, a customised T-shirt will be provided at the venue.
While on Friday for the burial, you can come wearing a white shirt with jeans. Colour code is white.
Thank you, everyone.”
Further details released by the family showed that activities on Thursday will commence with a Service of Songs from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, followed immediately by preparations for the candlelight procession. The procession is scheduled to take place from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, from LTV 8 to Oregun Junction and back to LTV. This will be followed by an Artistes’ Night, with closing remarks expected at 11:00pm.
It would be recalled that the actress reportedly died on December 27 after suffering a heart attack at her residence.
The news of her death was confirmed by several colleagues in the entertainment industry through social media posts.
Actors Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams and Bidemi Kosoko were among the first to publicly mourn her.
In an official family announcement, it was revealed that Allwell Ademola was 49 years old.
The family expressed appreciation for the outpouring of love, prayers and condolence messages from colleagues, friends and well-wishers, while praying for the repose of her soul.
