The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine from a courier company in Lagos and arrested two suspects allegedly linked to the consignment.
The NDLEA disclosed the development on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, describing the seizure as the largest cocaine seizure from a courier company in the agency’s history. The drugs were reportedly valued at about $27.7 million.
Among those arrested is Lagos socialite Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, popularly known as KC Luxury, alongside Lawal Kehinde, an employee of a logistics company.
According to NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Buba Marwa, KC Luxury was arrested at the boarding gate of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on the night of August 13, 2026, after intelligence indicated that he was attempting to leave Nigeria for Paris on a business-class flight.
The agency said the suspect was found with €7,750, £2,800, N100,000 and expensive jewellery, while several exotic vehicles were also recovered from his luxury apartment in Banana Island, Lagos.
Marwa warned individuals involved in drug trafficking against using wealth, luxury lifestyles or social-media influence to conceal their activities.
He said investigations into the seized cocaine and the suspects were ongoing.
