The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reportedly arrested a Nigerian billionaire drug baron in Switzerland alongside two other suspects in what authorities describe as a landmark international operation.
The development was reported on May 7, 2026, though details of the suspects’ identities and the full scope of the operation are still being withheld pending official confirmation and extradition procedures.
According to earlier NDLEA operations, the agency has intensified cross-border collaboration with foreign law enforcement bodies to track and dismantle drug trafficking networks involving high-profile individuals and large-scale financial operations.
The latest arrest adds to a growing list of major drug busts linked to Nigerian syndicates abroad, reflecting increased global cooperation in narcotics enforcement.
As of the time of filing this report, the NDLEA has not released an official detailed statement on the Switzerland operation.
