The National Business and Technical Examinations Board has announced September 10, 2026, as the deadline for registration for its November/December certificate examinations.
The registration covers the National Business Certificate, National Technical Certificate, Advanced National Business Certificate and Advanced National Technical Certificate examinations.
According to NABTEB’s Assistant Director, Media/Protocol, Uchechukwu Olisah, registration for the examinations began on August 10.
Olisah made the announcement on Sunday in Benin, urging candidates who were yet to register to complete the process before the September 10 deadline.
However, candidates for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination have until September 30 to register.
“Prospective candidates and other stakeholders are advised to complete their registration before the respective deadlines,” Olisah said.
NABTEB pegged the registration fee for the NBC/NTC examinations at N22,500, while candidates for the ANBC/ANTC examinations are required to pay N25,500.
Registration for the December Modular Trades Certificate Examination costs N6,000.
The board urged prospective candidates, schools, technical and vocational institutions, apprenticeship centres and other relevant stakeholders to follow the approved registration requirements.
Olisah also cautioned candidates against relying on unauthorised sources for registration information.
He advised them to obtain details through NABTEB’s approved channels to avoid “errors, delays or complications” during the registration process.
He explained that the examinations form part of NABTEB’s mandate to assess and certify candidates in business and technical education.
According to him, the examinations are also designed to support the development of skilled manpower and strengthen technical and vocational education and training as a means of promoting economic empowerment and self-reliance.
