Tension is mounting in Oyo State as members of the Take-It-Back Movement staged a protest calling for the immediate release of pupils and teachers abducted from a school in the state.
The demonstrators expressed concern over the continued captivity of the victims, urging security agencies and government authorities to intensify efforts to secure their freedom. Protesters carried placards and chanted slogans, insisting that the prolonged detention of the pupils and their teachers is unacceptable.
Families of the abductees have also voiced frustration over the situation, saying they are growing increasingly worried as the victims remain in the hands of their captors.
The protesters called on both state and federal authorities to take urgent action, improve security measures, and ensure the safe return of all those kidnapped.
The demonstration highlights growing public concern over the persistent threat of abductions and insecurity affecting schools and communities across parts of Nigeria.
