The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments across the state over persistent noise pollution and other environmental regulatory violations.
The affected facilities were sealed on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, following what the agency described as repeated non-compliance despite warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to address the identified violations.
LASEPA said the enforcement operation covered areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
Among the establishments sealed were Thrillz Lounge, Feixiang Plastic, Marvel Hotel & Suites, Keviz Hotel & Suites, DSN Hotel & Suites and Rudaj Vegetable Oil.
Others included Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish; Limas; Nico Hotel & Suites; 10Kobo Night Club; Master Furniture; and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge.
According to LASEPA, the establishments violated various environmental regulations and failed to implement prescribed corrective measures or comply with directives issued by the agency.
The agency said the enforcement was carried out in line with the Lagos State Government’s efforts to ensure compliance with environmental laws, protect public health and promote a cleaner and safer environment.
Speaking on the operation, LASEPA General Manager, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to sustained monitoring and enforcement of environmental standards across the state.
“Environmental compliance is a collective responsibility,” Ajayi said, adding that LASEPA would continue to intensify enforcement against individuals, businesses, religious organisations and corporate bodies whose activities pose risks to the environment and public health.
He urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents to adopt responsible environmental practices, obtain the necessary permits and approvals, and comply with relevant environmental regulations.
