The Israel military launched airstrikes on a residential building in Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, leaving at least four people injured and triggering panic among residents in one of the city’s densely populated neighborhoods.

Officials from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health confirmed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, that the explosions struck an apartment building in the Aisha Bakkar district, a busy residential area in central Beirut. Residents reported waking up to powerful blasts as the strike shattered windows and sent debris across nearby streets.

Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after the attack, evacuating wounded civilians and securing surrounding buildings amid fears of further strikes.

Authorities said at least four people were wounded, though officials warned the number could rise as rescue teams continued searching damaged apartments.

Security analysts say the strike reflects the widening regional tension linked to the escalating confrontation involving Iran, Israel, and their respective allies across the Middle East.

Local residents described scenes of chaos and fear, as families fled their homes while sirens and emergency vehicles filled the streets of the Lebanese capital.
