An airstrike by Israel in southern Lebanon has killed three journalists, according to officials and local media reports on March 28, 2026.
The victims were identified as Ali Shaib of Al-Manar TV, as well as Fatima Ftouni and her brother Mohammed Ftouni, both affiliated with Al-Mayadeen.
They were reportedly traveling in a vehicle near the city of Jezzine when the strike occurred.
The Israeli military acknowledged targeting one of the journalists, alleging links to Hezbollah, but did not publicly comment on the deaths of the other two individuals.
Lebanese authorities and media organisations have strongly condemned the attack, drawing attention to the increasing risks faced by journalists working in conflict zones.
The incident comes amid rising regional tensions, with Israel intensifying operations tied to its broader confrontation with Iran-aligned groups.
International observers have called for greater protection of media personnel and urged restraint to avoid further civilian casualties.
